Shared Standards and Local Commitment

Through the ESS collaboration, we ensure that larger suppliers meet shared environmental requirements. This allows us to reduce our overall footprint and create a more consistent and ambitious sustainability approach across the group. At the same time, we place strong emphasis on supporting the local business community by prioritizing local suppliers, collaborating on events in the area, and actively contributing to strengthening the community in Køge.

Rox Resort and the Latest Building Regulations

Rox Resort in Køge has been constructed in accordance with the latest Danish building regulations and therefore meets some of the highest standards for energy-efficient construction in Denmark. The building features modern insulation solutions, energy-efficient windows, and advanced technical installations that significantly minimize heat loss and reduce energy consumption. Solar panels contribute to the production of renewable energy, while intelligent control of ventilation, heating, and lighting ensures optimal energy use and a healthy, comfortable indoor climate.

Diversity and Inclusion

Rox Resort is closely connected with Marienlyst Strandhotel, and at both locations we believe in the strength of community as a natural part of ESS Group’s DNA. We employ colleagues of many nationalities, offer flexible job positions, and work closely with job centers and integration programs. With us, there is room for everyone – and opportunities for all.

Education and Development

We invest in people through education, apprenticeships, and internal recruitment. Sustainability is a natural part of our onboarding program, and we create strong development opportunities through internal mobility and close collaboration across ESS Resorts.

Open to the World – Locally Rooted, Globally Minded

From Rox, we look out over the Baltic Sea – but our perspective reaches further. We actively engage with the local community, participate in events, and work with local suppliers.

Sustainability with Perspective

At Rox Resort, sustainability is not a checklist but a living culture. We believe that small everyday actions can make a big difference. That is why we move forward together and invite everyone to take part: employees, guests, and partners alike.
