Not physically yet – but in spirit. Because the fact that you’re reading this means you’re at least a little bit curious. And I can’t blame you. Rox is a place that was born out of a dream – a dream to create something entirely new in Denmark. Something international in its ambition, local in its soul.

We are not here to just offer you a room. We’re here to offer you a reason to return. Rox is located on the shores just outside Køge – a historic and charming town with the heart of Copenhagen only 30 minutes away. It’s where ocean meets architecture, where the energy of the capital softens into the peace of the coast.

You’ll find 154 carefully designed rooms, each with its own balcony and a view that stretches endlessly across the sea. Upon our rooftop, we’ve built two pools that don’t just look out over the water – they seem to float into it. And at ground level, another pool connects you to the rhythm of the resort. Spa. Sun. Swim. Repeat. Dining? We’ve created not one but two signature restaurants. Both share a view of the horizon and a dedication to high-end casual perfection.

It’s about how you feel when you’re here. It’s about laughter over late dinners, cocktails at sunset, morning walks on the beach. It’s the smell of salt, the touch of cool stone floors under bare feet, and the sound of music rolling gently from the terrace bar. I’ve had the privilege of being part of the ESS Group journey since the early days – a journey that began in 2007 with a vision to do things differently. From the historic elegance of Ystad Saltsjöbad to the playful pulse of Ellery Beach House, and most recently the refined ambition of Maryhill Estate, each destination has taught us something vital about how to create places people never forget. Rox is the natural continuation of that journey.

In many ways, it’s the sum of everything we’ve learned. All the energy, creativity, and passion from years of building award-winning resorts across Sweden and beyond – now coming to life here, on this beach, in beautiful Køge.
